Chicago Sports Betting App Raises $6 Million Before NFL Season

Betsperts, a Chicago-based sports betting app, recently raised 6 million dollars in its fundraising round. The funds came in right as the NFT seasons started. The platform will use the funds to acquire more social media presence for fantasy sports players and sports betting.

The app made the announcement regarding the funds on Thursday, stating it has gathered 6 million dollars. Two of the most well-known sports-based projects, Verance Capital and HBSE Ventures, led the round for Betsperts. The app even got assistance from Velo Partners, David VanEgmond, and Parlay Capital Holdings.

With almost 9 million dollars in possession and established in 2019, Betsperts started as a sports bettors’ social media platform. It helped gamblers find and follow experts throughout the industry. It also helps bettors track and rank gamblers based on the betting performance, allowing other users to choose the best advisors.

Despite its relatively new entry, Betsperts have made an impact on the fantasy sports sector too. The startup shook the industry when it purchased the Fantasy Life App, an application used to deliver breaking news to players. Matthew Berry, ESPN personality and a well-known fantasy football analyst developed the Fantasy Life App.

Betsperts also expanded its reach towards 4for4.com, a data, ranking, and content tool for fantasy football in a quick turn of events. Reid Rooney, Chief Executive Officer of Betsperts, talked with Chicago Inno about its upcoming plans.

As per Rooney, the company aims to invest in both fantasy sports and sports betting to become a hub in the US for both markets. The previous football season witnessed the Fantasy Life App and Betsperts garner 10 million monthly visits. With the latest integration, both applications are expected to cross one million downloads during the NFL season 2021.

Sports betting is more popular than casino gambling, and more individuals are using cryptocurrency to do it. This comes as no surprise to frequent sports bettors, and many more people will begin to wager on sports using crypto.
